Goodyear Technology Showcase: 125 Years in Motion

 

In conjunction with celebrations of Goodyear’s remarkable 125th anniversary this year, nearly 400 regional business and media associates were invited to a Goodyear Technology Showcase on 12 September 2023 as part of the “Goodyear: 125 Years in Motion” event held in Malaysia. 

 

 

The immersive showcase presented a valuable opportunity for our delegation from SUNLUN Group led by Managing Director, Mr. Philip Lau to journey into Goodyear’s vision of the future of mobility and explore innovative tyre technologies transforming urban transportation in the next 125 years.

 

 

Goodyear Eagle 360 Urban
The Eagle 360 Urban concept features an artificially intelligent (AI) sphere tyre incorporating bionic skin and morphing tread powered by neural network system which senses, transforms and adapts to the constantly-evolving mobility ecosystems in future urban centres.     

 

 

Goodyear Aero
The Aero concept features an intelligent two-in-one multimodal tyre which transforms from conventional tyre for road driving to tiltrotor propellers providing aerial lift for autonomous, flying cars of the future – enabling seamless movement from the road to the skies. 

 

 

Goodyear Nextrek
The Nextrek concept features an airless, non-pneumatic tyre (NPT) with patented high-load, airless spoke design courtesy of Goodyear Duraweb Technology which offer maintenance-free performance for autonomous, passenger and light commercial vehicle in the future.   

 

 

Goodyear LF-30 Electrified Tyre
Goodyear’s custom Lexus LF-30 Electrified concept tyre complements Lexus’ futuristic electric vehicle (EV) concept car by featuring EV tyre technologies that utilize clever aerodynamics for EV motor cooling as well as biomimicry design innovation for rolling noise reduction.
